DESCRIPTION:#YOUR VOICE MATTERS!  \n\n			\n				\n            \n			\n				\n            \n			\n				\n            \n		\n\nWithin the “EU24 – Engage for the Planet” project \nInternational Conference on Mobility \nAs a central topic climate change is the biggest threat to humanity today and it needs transnational and multinational solutions. That is why creation of a strong European political community which is (inter-)active\, diverse and able to form and express opinions in political debate is essential. \nWhile the turnout in the last EU election was the largest in 25 years\, citizens of diverse backgrounds and mobile union citizens remain underrepresented among active EU voters as well as democratic enga \ngement. \nOur project aims to decrease the democratic participation gap of young citizens\, citizens of diverse \nbackgrounds\, mobile union citizens in a gender balanced way by showing them their voices matter. \n  \nThe goal of the event is to: \n\nTo empower and amplify underrepresented voices: Join us in discussing the critical issue of climate change and its impact on our planet. We encourage young people\, citizens of different backgrounds and mobile union citizens to voice their opinions and ideas as theyplay a crucial role in shaping the future.\n\n  \n\nGreen mobility – challenges and recommendations: Immerse yourself in a high-profile debate on green mobility. SUMMARY:CLIMATE JUSTICE IN THE EUROPEAN DEBATE seminar for civil society representatives from Poland and Germany
DESCRIPTION:The climate crisis affects everyone – but not equally. Those who suffer the most globally contribute the least to it – and are often not entitled to decide on measures and strategies to counter the crisis. In Poland\, as in other countries in the Global North\, the challenges of the current climate crisis lead to demarcation and a desire to defend privilege. This encourages the growth of racist attitudes and social divisions. \nDuring the seminar\, we will learn about the historical and current relationship between the climate crisis and intersectionality. Additionally\, we will have the opportunity to learn – and unlearn – different perspectives on climate justice and exchange experiences and advice for their own practice\, as well as relate the seminar’s theme to current and future European problems. \n  \nDownload the full programme here
